Presbyterian College and Coastal Carolina University to leave Big South Conference and become the fifteenth and sixteenth members of the SEC. The Blue Hose have an all-time record of 0-1 against SEC opponents, but PC will look to improve upon that as they and Coastal join the Eastern Division, displacing Missouri and Tennessee. In the Eastern Division, the Hose will face off against in-state rival South Carolina, along with national powerhouse Georgia, and the always dangerous Florida. SEC Commissioner Michael Slive has spoken very much in favor of the addition of these two schools, saying “Coastal has been a strong team among southeastern FCS schools for a long time, and we look forward to their introduction to our historic conference. Presbyterian is very much a school on the rise, and I cannot wait to see how they grow as they arrive to this new challenge.” Presbyterian is projected to finish last in their new division and will hope to shock the world in their first season as an FBS football team.
