Laser Tag on the Lawn!
October 25, 2015
On Friday Oct. 23, the Student Activities Board brought laser tag to PC from 8 p.m to 12 a.m. Students had a large and spacious playing field set up across from the Templeton Arena.
For those who are unfamiliar with laser tag and its concept, there are two teams that compete against one another. The object of the game is to try and attack your opponent without being attacked yourself. The playing field consists of multiple large obstacles, like an inflatable tank or a giant inflatable X, that provide the players with coverage and various nice hiding spots. Laser tag is an intense thinking game that takes a strategic mind in order to outlast your opponent in the trenches to come away with the victory. Once the referee blows the whistle, it’s a race to attack and conquer to bring back a win for your team.
When Student Activities president Erika Gotfredson was asked her reason for putting on this event, she said, “We like doing events that appeal to different audiences, so we wanted to bring something for an active crowd and wanted to provide an alternative for energetic people.”
Many such students came out on Friday night to play laser tag, and a great time was had by all the teams.
