The Presbyterian Blue Hose defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins on September 19 at Martin Stadium with the score of 1-0.
The only goal of the game came from captain and senior Carson Griffith from a penalty kick at minute 83 of the game.
In spite of ending the first half at a nil-nil tie, the Blue Hose felt great due to the chances they had created . “We [the Blue Hose] were able… to make them [Jacksonville Dolphins] change the way they had to play,” said Coach Finotti.
The flow of the game was broken up by the officials, fouls, and ‘soft calls’, but that did not stop the Blue Hose from playing their “most complete game…this year” as stated by the coach.
With a current record of 3-3, Coach Finotti and captain Carson Griffith like where the team stands and the direction it’s moving toward.
The Blue Hose will play their first Big South Conference game this Saturday, September 23 at UNC Asheville.
