Rhythm on the Rails is one of the traditional festivals that is celebrated annually in the downtown of Clinton, South Carolina.
On September 22nd and 23rd, the family festival included appetizing BBQ and a variety of other food trucks, rides, non-profit information booths, retail and craft vendors, wonderful music.
In addition to that, the long awaited local talent show opened an opportunity for some high school students at Clinton High School and the public residents of Clinton. The winning price was $1,000 from the City of Clinton. Most of the contestants showed their astounding singing voices, while others played musical instruments. Naylah Campechano was the 2023 Clinton’s Got Talent winner. With her graceful singing, the crowds and judges were amazed by the teen’s performance. Afterwards, the night was still young and The Swingin’ Medallions took over the first night of the festival.
On the second day of the festival, three more music bands performed for the event. The three invited music bands were: Silver Travis Band, Rock n’ Roll Reunion, and Cliff Wheeler Band. As these three groups performed at their scheduled times, families and friends were able to enjoy this moment because of the great entertainment. Furthermore, this two-day event offered free rides and no cost for admission.
After all, this festival truly lives up to its name because of how much joy it garners from the people of Clinton every year. The historic downtown, with its railroads, has been instrumental in the area’s growth, and the festival’s lively atmosphere complements this rich history. It truly was a “Rhythm on the Rails”.
