The first year of anything always has its ups and downs, especially in college. However, the Bluestocking has decided to interview and check up on the new Blue Hose. This will happen every one to two weeks, and will be different people being interviewed each time. Below are the answers from two freshmen to the question: How have you and your classes been, and what do you like and dislike so far?
Destiny Gaston: “I like that the campus is slowly starting to feel like home, and that my classes are going good. I’m a nursing major, with a minor in psychology, and I’m helping out with the basketball team. I am also making friends with some of the wrestling team. The professors are really nice.”
Sam Gearheart: “ My classes are going pretty good. I’m taking a lot of STEM courses right now. I’m taking calculus and physics and chemistry all at the same time, so its a bit of a heavy workload, but its been a lot of fun. I am a student athlete (I run cross country), so that’s been a lot of fun. I’m very excited to be here at PC. Its a great school with great people and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so far.”
As one can read, these two freshmen are doing well and enjoying their time on campus. Hopefully, it is the same for the rest of the newcomers, and you’ll see more on the next interview. Make sure to drink water, rest, work and study hard, check up on the person next to you, and check up on yourself in the meantime. Until next time on Freshman Chronicles!
