PC Drops Big South Opener Against VMI

Andrew Corley, Writer

The Blue Hose kicked off their Big South Conference season on Saturday with a 24-13 loss to the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. The loss dropped PC to 0-5 for the season and 0-19 since 2008. The Blue Hose were able to keep the game close for the first three quarters, and even provided some offense of their own when Antarius Terrell returned an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter. However, PC’s offensive woes continued as the Hose were unable to get the ball into the end zone and racked up just 205 yards of total offense. The offense’s struggles were best represented on the third down, when the Hose only converted one of their twelve attempts. PC gets a much needed bye this weekend during fall break before returning to action October 16th  in a homecoming game against Coastal Carolina.
