Bingo Night Proves to B-1 Great Event

Whoever thought Bingo was only to be played by senior adults at bingo halls was mistaken.  Let the vibrant and buzzing atmosphere of Springs on Thursday night tell the story.

PC’s Student Union Board hosted its second event of the Spring semester with a Bingo Night in Springs.  Over 150 students came out to test their luck in one of the most well-known games of chance while enjoying the late-night food offerings of Springs.

Many students attended Bingo Night after watching the PC men’s basketball team’s victory over VMI in a record-setting game for the program, while others took a study break from one the busier and test-filled weeks thus far of the semester to come out and have some fun with fellow students.

Numerous rounds of the classic Bingo were played, with each round constituting a different pattern to try to form on the Bingo card, including a border around the card, the letter T, a kite, and blackout.

Individual prizes for winners of each round included PC t-shirts and commemorative cups.  Each round winner was also inserted into a drawing for the grand prize of the night, a NOOK Tablet, which was won by PC student Soda Ng.

The Student Union Board (SUB) is a student-run organization that sponsors free entertainment and activities for students on campus.  Past Fall events at PC include Vegas Night, Trivia Night, outdoor and indoor movie nights, and Homecoming activities.

Be sure to keep a lookout for more information on upcoming Spring SUB events, including an outdoor Movie Night in March, a showing of the National Championship men’s basketball game to wrap up March Madness, and the much-anticipated Spring Fling in April.  “Like” PC Student Union Board on Facebook to vote for different events to take place on campus, to see t-shirt proofs for various events in advance, to look at pictures from past events held, and to receive notifications about upcoming events at PC.
