The Class of 2017: Leaving a Legacy and Starting a New Life
April 26, 2017

In just a few short weeks, Presbyterian College will say farewell to the class of 2017. PC has been these students’ home away from home for the last four years. Even though they are leaving, their legacy will remain forever.
Entering college is a huge milestone in an eighteen-year-old’s life. A new room, new friends, new food and a new location are all just a few factors of one’s new journey. College can be stressful, especially when you do not know what lies ahead. To help with this transition, we interviewed a variety of departing seniors and asked them what advice they would give to an incoming Freshman.
Amanda Wagner, an active Greek life member, said in her interview, “Freshman should come into college with an open mind. Try to make as many friends as possible and get involved.”
Bruce Olivier is a senior soccer player from South Africa. He gave the following advice: “Learn how to network. Do not be a square. Get out and talk to people.”
In her interview, Blaire Miller, member of the PC softball team, said, “Cherish every moment you have on this campus. They aren’t kidding when they say college is the best four years of your life.”
Finally, we interviewed Obinna Ntiasague, member of the PC football team. In his interview Obinna said, “PC is not like high school. You have to study here to make the grades you want. It’s worth it in the end.”
Presbyterian College is such a special place to so many. Here at PC, we have the motto “While We Live, We Serve.” Students on this campus love to get involved with various sports teams, clubs, sororities, and much more. Being such a small school, Presbyterian is an easy place to make connections, especially ones that last a lifetime.
