On Jan. 29, applications for the 2020 Orientation Leader Position opened to the public. They are not due until Feb. 13 at 5:00 PM, meaning there is plenty of time to get your applications in! Being an Orientation Leader (OL) comes with dozens of benefits, such as: meeting new friends on a diverse team of peers, mentoring the next class of Blue Hose coming this fall, building relations with Campus Life and other offices on campus and the opportunity to make up to $700!

As a former Orientation Leader, I can personally attest to the experience. It has opened so many doors for me as a student to form connections with PC staff, incoming First-Year Students and the faculty who volunteer their time to each orientation session. The position teaches leadership, teamwork, group facilitation and accountability that is hard to find anywhere else. While the sessions may seem long and tiring, they are easily the most rewarding opportunities for students to see the smiles and relationships that form at these sessions. For more insight into what the New Student Orientation Sessions consist of, check out the “Presbyterian College New Student Orientation Vlog” on the PC Blue Tube’s YouTube channel!
