Despite a semifinal loss to Longwood in the Big South Conference Tournament, the Blue Hose softball team made several milestones throughout the past season.

The team broke a program record in terms of wins (36) and was seeded fourth in the Big South Tournament, which was the second-highest seed Presbyterian has earned in the postseason championship.

Additionally, it was the first time PC made the tournament since 2016.

Besides the regular season success, the Blue Hose also had several players of their own be recognized for their successes by the conference.

Senior outfielder Jaiden Tweed made First Team All-Big South and was named to the Big South All-Academic Team, earning a 3.84 GPA as a Political Science major.

Second baseman Kaitlyn Tucker and designated pitcher Morgan Hess were honored as Second Team All-Big South recipients. Shortstop Layna Johnson and catcher Lath Freeman received All-Big South honorable mentions.

The six selections to the All-Big South Conference teams was the most for the Blue Hose in a single season throughout the history of the program.

With only three seniors graduating and several key players returning, the Blue Hose should once again be in contention for the Big South championship next year.
