Entering the season as the defending Big South Tournament champions, the Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team looked towards the task of repeating as tournament champions for the 2022 campaign.

Unfortunately, the goals came up short as PC finished with a 22-32 (9-15) overall record, which included a ten-game losing streak to end the season. The results put them 9th overall in the Big South standings, missing the cutoff for a spot in the conference tournament.

Nevertheless, there were still a lot of highlights throughout the season for the Blue Hose.

Senior Eric Toth made First-Team All-Big South as an infielder, becoming the first PC selection to the First-Team since 2018.

Second-Team selections were given out to Duncan Howard and Dalton Reeves respectively. Howard, a pitcher, had 67 total strikeouts on the season, while Reeves led the Blue Hose with 14 doubles as a utility player.

Thanks to a 3.77 GPA as a Biology major, senior outfielder Kyle Decker made the Big South All-Academic team. On the field, the North Carolina native earned 41 hits and stole 16 bases in addition to 17 RBIs.

Coach Elton Pollock was also presented with the PC Head Coach of the Year award at the 2022 Presbys Ceremony in May.
