On Wednesday, March 20th, the Student Activity Board (SAB) and Presbyterian College’s Office of International Programs (OIP) hosted their second Multicultural Mixer event to share the cultural diversity around PC. A few of PC’s international students had the opportunity to share their cultural heritage. Some of the countries that were in attendance were Puerto Rico, Honduras, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Brazil, China, Myanmar, Jamaica, Mexico, Cuba, Kenya, India, Venezuela, and Ukraine. Each booth featured an infographic poster and artifacts that represent their heritage. In addition to that, the wide variety of food that each participant brought in generated a positive presence because it promoted an overview of their culture’s food. The event gave PC students a chance to learn through cultural music and dance in addition to food and conversation. The Multicultural Mixer event provided a wide array of opportunities to experience other cultures around the world.
